We have worked out an original plan of Japanese wedding photography utilizing results of surveys and conducted it for Chinese American couple. Experience is We took wonderful pictures in Japanese temples and shrines.

Why did I write this article?
We conducted wedding photography shooting in beautiful temples and shrines. But the participant said, “I was very surprised at taking photographs in temples and shrines, because in other country like America, it’s common to take photos in memorable places.”
Through this project, not only I understood Japanese wedding better, but also I became interested in wedding in other countries. That’s why I wrote this.
Japanese style Wedding
First, I introduce Japanese wedding. Of course Japanese hold western style wedding too, but Japanese style wedding ceremony is still popular. The main feature of Japanese style wedding is clothes and rituals.
Bride and bloom ware “Montsuki Hakama” and “Shiromuku”. The solemn ritual named “Shinzenshiki” is performed in temples and shrines. Unlike western wedding, rituals and every action of bride and bloom has unique meaning. It's really interesting to know about them.
American style wedding
American people hold their wedding at a church.
Wedding in America has unique customs that is not common in Japan. For example, “something four". Something four is a tradition that bride will be happy, if she wear “something old” , “something new” , “borrowed something”, and “something blue”
At a wedding party, dancing is necessary and that’s unique custom of America. After groom and bride dance at the center of the floor, all guests dance too. American has another unique custom named "garter toss". The groom toss it to participants randomly and the person who catch it will get married.
As you can see, American wedding is very different from Japanese solemn and traditional wedding.
Conclusion
I learned differences between American and Japanese wedding for the first time through this project. I think Japanese wedding is great by learning the difference and it is really interesting for a lot of countries have unique custom respectively. I hope that everyone is interested in Japanese wedding through this article.
