Montsuki-haori-hakama

It is said that this is the most formal dress among the kimono costume for men. It is a combination of crested nagagi (a full-length Japanese garment), hakama (a pleated and divided Japanese skirt for men) and crested haori (a Japanese traditional half coat). The bridegroom can show off the beautiful bride much more manly. It is because Monpuku (clothing decorated with one's family crest) has historical value and tone.



Tsunokakushi

"Tsunokakushi" is a hood worn by brides as part of a traditional wedding costume in Japan. There are various opinions from the origins. The most famous one is to put it on to be a straight forward and mild wife by covering and hiding her devil’s horn which appears when she gets angry.


Wataboushi(Cotton hat)

A white hat wearing somewhat deeply on the head when wearing pure white. During the Heian era, women who had high status wore this as clothes when going out. This had been used as a clothes for protection against cold and amulet popularly until the Meiji era.
